Marriage of a Thousand Lies

I couldn’t finish the book because of my language issue, however, I try to read a summary of this book and got the idea from the movie, Circumstance, that we watched in the class time.  As a foreigner in America, the homosexuality has always unfamiliar to me.  I became used to it since I start to attend a college in here and I think America really has an open mind compare to my country.  In my parent’s period, they couldn’t think about homosexuality at all and about the marriage without their parent’s disagreement.  In my mother’s case, she had to get married to the man who her parents decided it for her.  (However, they liked each other! Great!)  So my mom used to tell me to met a lot of boys before I choose to get married.  My country’s prejudice is slowly getting a change just like my mother said to me, however, my grandparents will stay in that prejudice.
Just the character of this book tried to convince her elder, my country still needs to fight for what is right for the children of our country.  I think it is just not for my country, but also for everyone.
